Terms of service

What you can expect from us, and what we expect from you.

Last updated October 2026

Using the service

Anyone can make a short link without an account. By making one, you agree to these terms and the acceptable use policy. You're responsible for where your links point.

What you may not use this for

  • Phishing, malware, scams or fraud
  • Impersonating a person, business or service
  • Spam, or hiding where a link really goes to get past filters
  • Anything illegal where you or the people receiving the link are

What we can do about it

We can refuse to create a link and disable any link at any time, without notice, if we believe it breaks these terms or puts people at risk. A disabled link shows a notice instead of redirecting. We can also block a destination domain, which disables existing links to it.

Bio pages

You're responsible for what you put on a bio page, including images and embeds you link to. Whoever holds a page's private edit link can change it, and we can't recover a lost edit link or transfer a page to someone else. Page names are first come, first served and can't be changed after creation.

We can disable any page that breaks these terms. A disabled page is hidden and can't be republished from its edit link.

Links can't be changed or removed on request

Links aren't tied to the person who made them, so we can't edit or delete one because you ask. We have no way to tell who made it. If a link is harmful, report it and it will be reviewed.

Availability, honestly stated

We work to keep links resolving, but the service is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it will always be available or error-free. Don't rely on a short link as the only copy of anything important. Current status is on the status page.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them.

The legal part

To the extent the law allows, LinkMint isn't liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law. Questions: support@linkmint.org.
